Personal Training – no longer offered

Personal Training services begin with a  free fifteen-minute phone consultation.  Client profiles are based on a full consultation taking into consideration medical history, fitness history, short and long term goals and assessment of injuries.  After the needs assessment is completed, a customized training program is designed to meet the client’s specific goals and needs.  When required, a consultation with the client’s doctor, physiotherapist or other healthcare practitioner is carried out to assure that the program is safe.

I recognize the need for professional personal training in Kamloops that focuses specifically on post rehabilitation.  My areas of expertise include:

  • designing customized programs for individuals with injuries or dysfunction
  • aquatic therapy
  • core stability
  • exercise prescription for the lumbar spine, pelvis and hips
  • post Motor Vehicle Accident injuries (whiplash)
I offer one-on-one training in single sessions or 5 and 10 session packages.
I teach a variety of post-rehab based classes in the Kamloops area.  These classes may require your physician’s consent to participate and in most cases a referral from your healthcare practitioner (physiotherapist, massage therapist, chiropractor) is needed.

I am 55 yrs old, and have been living with chronic back and shoulder pain. I thought I would be stuck with it for the rest of my life, a very depressing thought. My life was becoming very restricted because I avoided situations and activities due to pain. I felt like an 80 yr old, not a 55 yr old. I tried all sorts of treatments from chiropractic to acupuncture and was taking a lot of pain medication with only minimal pain relief.  Cara Humphries at Kamloops Sport Physiotherapy recommended a “Core Strengthening Class” taught by Rebbah Rodrigues. I signed up and at first, I wondered how effective the seemingly simple exercises and stretches would be, but wow have I been happily surprised. I can now boast that I have some pain free days and the degree of pain is far less and the duration shorter than before.

Rebbah is a wonderful teacher. Her class sizes were small so she was able to give each of us personal attention. The price was right too, more bang for your buck considering how expensive physio can be.

All in all, Rebbah gets a big thumbs up and a 5 star rating from me.
